The REMIX TEXTURES are fragments in videos, selected from the media imaginary that marked the memory of people in the Amazon. The collection brings up the local, national and international archives of documentaries, films, interviews, advertising, including performances, video art, and music videos.

The remixed videos resulted from collaborative research from immersive gatherings between 2011 and 2012, in two urban Amazonian cities. The project called Dossie - For critical cartography of the Amazon, proposed a discussion between art, media, memory, and techno-politics in the region. The collaboration process, brought together practices and collectivized methods helpingus to re-signify our visions and references and highlight what we really value in what we watch in oppose to the global media creation superficialized over this territory.

REMIX TEXTURES were originally created as a video reference for the 5 chapters in the printed publication, therefore the videography in addition to articles are both a way to tell our story. In 2017, the videos were re-edited into 3 chapters and translated into "foreign eyes" at the invitation of curator Ursula Maria Probst for the exhibition WELT KOMPAKT? held at the frei_raum Q21 exhibition spacein Vienna, Austria.
